ABA Centers of Florida Unveils Its First Autism Care Centers in Central Florida

ABA Centers of Florida Orlando Grand Opening

This week, ABA Centers of Florida hosted two back-to-back ribbon-cutting ceremonies in Orlando and Tampa to celebrate the opening of its first two autism care centers in Central Florida.

ABA Centers of Florida provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism through a play-based approach rooted in positive reinforcement. The organization was founded to disrupt the autism care industry by demolishing wait times traditionally experienced by those in search of a diagnosis or treatment, which can range from a wait of many months to several years.

“Through this clinic, we’ll be able to provide help and hope to families in Orlando during what can be a frustrating and vulnerable time – and we will be able to do it quicker and with more compassion than anyone else,” remarked Jason Barker, CEO of ABA Centers, at the Orlando event. “We are proud to say that we usually have a kiddo receiving autism care within 47 days from the time that their family makes that first phone call to us.”

The Orlando and Tampa centers join ABA Centers of Florida’s two other locations in Boca Raton and Jensen Beach. These new clinics offer an expansive 12,600 square feet and 14,300 square feet, respectively, for individualized autism therapy services to take place. The impressive, strategically designed spaces provide children with a vibrant, immersive, and engaging environment for world class clinicians to carry out the therapy lessons that will empower them in navigating life on the spectrum and teach them the tools to achieve a fulfilling future.

“This is a really pivotal point and opportunity for us to make sure our kids get the resources that they need… The more services that we can bring to our community, we are grateful for,” stated City of Orlando Commissioner Shan Rose, before reading a powerful proclamation from Mayor Buddy Dyer.

Even though these centers were just unveiled this week, each is already serving around 60 children and ABA Centers of Florida is caring for nearly 400 kiddos throughout the state of Florida.

US Senator Rick Scott provided a proclamation to ABA Centers of Florida that stated, “As your Senator, I will always fight to make sure you have the resources you need to care for your patients and their loved ones. I know that healthcare is an important part of every person’s life and I will continue fight to every day to ensure ample access to quality care and ease the burden on families.”

ABA Centers of Florida’s Orlando autism care center is located at 2145 Metrocenter Blvd., Suite 350, Orlando, FL, and the Tampa center is located at 4343 Anchor Plaza Parkway, Suite 150, Tampa, FL.
